1) TABLE OF CONTENTS
Section 1) Table of Contents
Section 2) Pre-requisites
Section 3) Set up VPN Client software | VPN Config File
Section 4) Set up PACS Viewer software
2) PRE-REQUISITES
- The PACS Viewer software will only run on 32Bit Windows Operating systems. We recommend Windows XP Professional 32Bit. Windows 2000 or higher is required.
- You will need a broadband Internet connection to use the VPN Client and receive PACS images.
- TCP Ports 104 and 25000 must be open on ALL of your firewalls. By default, they are normally already open on router firewalls; however, on the Windows built-in firewall, they will need to be opened manually. (You can also disable the Windows firewall as a workaround but this is not recommended.) If you are using a third party firewall program on the computer that will be receiving the PACS images, then please have these ports open on the program. An example of a third party firewall program would be considered Norton Internet Security.
- In order to successfully set up your PACS reading workstation, you must have already been issued a Username and Password for your VPN Connection as well as an AE Title for your PACS Viewer software. If you have not already been given your Username, Password, and AE Title, please contact ProImaging Diagnostics at (304) 522-7000 to request this information. If a ProImaging technician will be installing this software for you then they will take care of this for you.
- Administrative privileges are required on the local computer account where you are installing this software.
- All windows updates must be completed-especially the Microsoft .NET Framework updates.
3) VPN CLIENT SETUP
- If you have not already done so, download the client setup files from:
http://www.proimagingdiagnostics.com/software/client_files.zip
- Extract the four files contained in the client_files.zip onto your desktop:
(READ_ME.rtf, PacsIQViewerSetup.msi, VPN_INSTALL.msi, and ProImaging_VPN.pcf)
- Install VPN_INSTALL.msi and reboot.
- After you reboot, go to Start/All Programs/Cisco Systems VPN Client and open the VPN Client
- When the VPN Client program loads, go to the “Connection Entries” drop down menu and select the Import button and then import the ProImaging_VPN.pcf file that you unzipped onto your desktop. You will need to modify this connection entry by inserting the username and password you were given. To modify it just highlight it and then click the Modify button. When you have entered your issued username and password, click the Save button and then click Connect.
- Please proceed to Page 3 to set up the PACS Viewer Software
4) PACS VIEWER SOFTWARE SETUP
- Before you continue, please create the following directory folder and leave it empty C:\Temp
To do this, just go to My Computer -> Local Disk (C:) then right-click in the window, select New, then Folder and then just name it “Temp”. If you skip this step the PACS Viewer software will not load properly.
- Now install the PacsIQViewerSetup.msi file.
- Once installed, launch the PacsIQ Viewer program from the icon on your desktop and in the upper left side of the window you will see a code appearing something like this: "BFEBFBFB00010667" This code must be emailed to customercare@nymed.net and they will email you back your license for the software.
- Next, in the upper right corner of the window, select the "Configuration" button.
- On the first tab “Configuration”, enter in the AE Title that was issued to you. This will be provided at the same time you receive your VPN Client username and password.
- Now go to the second tab, “Start/Stop Server” and be sure that the box is checked for “Start as Windows Service” and click the Start Server button.
- Finally, select the third tab, “PACS Servers” and enter in the following information:
AE Title: PROIQPACS
IP Address: 192.168.100.150
Port: 104
Check the “Active” box and click the Add button.
To test the server connectivity you must be connected through the VPN Client and then click the “Check” button on this third tab. If everything is set up correctly you should get a message that says “Success”.
- Click OK and you are ready to go begin receiving images.
If you want to receive images from ProImaging, you must first be connected to the VPN Client.
